The Coin Barns of the Oxmen

The common name for those buildings in use by the most popular banking system in Erenth, the Coin Barns are administered by a peculiar society in league with Church in Westrun, and are under the protection of the famed Oxmen. The Coin Barns are the clearing houses for most writs the world over. They charge a 1% fee for those transactions.

The Coin Barns will take any deposit of any coinage. Withdrawals can be made at any location, but they are not allowed until a 90 day waiting period has elapsed. After that initial waiting period, amounts can be withdrawn on any Firesday, after notice has been given on the previous Moonsday.

For some, the greatest service that the Coin Barns offer is to vouchsafe (by the honor of the Oxmen) the average size of their depositors accounts per annum. Far from being seen as a breach of privacy, this actually allows nobility and other institutions to determine how credit worthy their potential customers and trade partners are.

Holy Order of the Sword and Rose

The chapel of this peerage is in Laketon of Saklan.

The Ruskin are an order comprised solely of Paladins who were once another character class. As converts they are especially devout in the faith and have sworn themselves to the protection of women. In their oaths, they have bound themselves to protect what they consider the Five Rose Petals: consecrated women, unmarried maidens, widows, wives, and mothers.

The Ruskin are known especially for the numbers of Paladins who aspire to their company. A would-be Ruskin is considered to be Under the Rose if he is trying to prove himself to the order as worthy of membership. They are also known by their bright red cloaks and the highly ornamental weapons and the unique scale mail armor they are equipped with. Each Ruskin also carries a tattoo of a rose upon their chest. They are widely known across the 8 Kingdoms and are especially swooned over by females of all social classes. Despite their status, the Ruskin are bound by the Five Sepals of Charity, Chastity, Courage, Combat and Conviction.

The symbol of the Peerage is a rose superimposed on the blade of a sword.

College of Llorloveim

The College of Llorloveim is located in Laketon of Saklan and is one of the Concordant Colleges. Laketon is in the Eight Kingdoms of Man in the Land of Westrun

Llorloveim is a member of the Council of Concordant Colleges and of the Llorloveim.

The Primus is Donatto. The students wear gray robes with white hoods.

The Oxmen have rated the college at 31 gold bars.

College of Mordenkainen

The College of Mordenkainen is one of the Concordant Colleges of Laketon. It is located in the Kingdom of Saklan in the Eight Kingdoms, in the Land of Westrun.

Mordenkainen is the present head of the Circle of 8.

The Primus of Mordenkainen is Kring. The students of the college wear green robes with black hoods.

The Oxmen have given the college a rating of 33 gold bars.

College of Otto

The College of Otto is one of the Concordant Colleges of Laketon. It is located in Saklan of the Eight Kingdoms of Westrun.

Otto is a member of the Circle of 8 and The Council of Concordant Colleges.

The Primus of Otto is Feran. His students wear black with white hoods.

The Oxmen have given the college a rating of 38 gold bars.

College of Rary

The College of Rary is one of the Concordant Colleges of Laketon.

 Rary is a member of the Circle of 8 and the Council of Concordant Colleges.

 The Primus is Sedne. The students of Rary wear tan robes with a gold hood. The Oxmen have given the college a credit rating of 32 gold bars.

College of Sirillian

The College of Sirillian is one of the Concordant Colleges of Laketon.

The City of Laketon

Laketon is located in the Kingdom of Saklan in the Land of Westrun. It is home of The Council and the kingdom's monarch.

Laketon is known for its market in fresh-water fish and turtles, as well as its production of both walnut ink and reed paper. All of which is dependent on the flora which grows around Lake Tarn.

The City on the Lake is best known for its lack of walls and its abundance of tall glittering spires. Having been built upon massive sunken timber pilings, Laketon is an artificial island, that some say hovers on the mist. Laketon has no bridges which connect it to the shore, so all traffic must come over on small boats and ferries (some magical) which run during all hours of the day and night. Free of horses, and meticulously landscaped, Laketon is widely recognized as the cleanest human habitation known.

Sometimes also called the Floating City it generally seems to ride on the morning mist which covers Lake Tarn. It is also known as the Sleepless City and sometimes called the City of Lights. For among the gifts it has received from its resident wizards are the pitchless lamps set at regular intervals along the city streets. At night the city appears to be lit by a thousand stars descended from the heavens.

The Half-elven King Gladfiolas and the Wizards Otto, Rary, Mordenkainen, Llorloveim, and Sirillian are the most noteworthy residents.

Member of the Council of Concordant Colleges and the Circle of 8, Otto is a powerful human wizard. He tends to dress in fine, expensive garb. Originally a priest of Westrun, Otto soon found he had an uncanny knack for wizardry, and in 5129 left the life of the church behind him becoming a powerful and prolific master of the arcane arts.
