Its Primogenitor is reputed to be Xernes the Emperor, one-time ruler of all Southrun. His Empire had holdings as far North as the Free Provinces and portions of Treft. His Empire was eventually brought low and splintered into five kingdoms. His sons through his Treftan wife slowly lost their holdings in Westrun and have managed to keep only this Free Province into the modern era.
Its motto is "From the Blood of Emperors."
