Song 5: The Song of the Aenirasa
When the Great Work was complete,
the Ere of All showed his servants
the secret of life.
He brought forth
the plants that grow,
and the things that creep,
and the beasts that tred,
and the fish that swim,
and the birds that fly
all across the face of Erenth.
There were Aenir
who longed to be a part of Erenth
and they desired to abandon
their former estate and be
allowed to enter the Great Work
for they could not bear
to dwell anywhere
except that they be part of it.
This the Ere of All granted
and they became spirits
of earth, water, wind and fire
and there they dwelt in the elements
and considered it a great gain.
Others took the form of the giants
and faeries and spirits of wood and water.
All these are called Aenirasa,
because they were taken from Aenir.
