I renounce my former life. There is only this Life. There is no faith, but Death and the Tax. There is no lord, but my Prince. There is no family but this Family. There is no law, but this Law. There is no honor, but this Honor. I will never speak of our guild to those without this Honor. I will never seek the protection, pardon or permission of those without this Honor. I will never lie, except to those without this Honor. I will never be late in person or payment, except to those without this Honor. I will never cut a throat or cut a purse without the permission of my Prince. I will do all that this Life requires or may I be burned forever.
