Beardbrittle is a disease particular to the race of Dwarves. Those afflicted will find their facial hair falling out in thick clumps.
It causes the complete disruption of dark vision, the inability to maintain bearings and a general confusion about depth and construction. Beardbrittle also causes extreme vulnerability to magic-based attacks.
Beardbrittle's exact cause is unknown and it highly contagious. Its effects will last between 2 and 5 weeks. In some small percentage of patients, the beard will never again, grow rich and full as it once did.
