Description:
The Elf Songs claim that from the first all their people were Avariel and had wings and lived under Aerdrie the Ranaa. Only when their curiosity got the better of them did they descend to see what life was like upon the surface. There they found the surface creatures and saw their conflicts. The desire of some of them to fight alongside the Landbound brought them the curse of their queen. All those who went to the surface and those born to them thereafter did not have wings and were exiled from Aramalas.

According to some, however, Aramalas still exists. The Wind Wood is supposed to be home to the Avariel, who do not concern themselves with the Landbound but instead keep to the highest heights.
