Aedric Hanvalen is a half elven resident of Rath and the leading scholar of that kingdom. The body of his work consists of many treatises and translations of songs from Elvish. In this way, though he is somewhat derided for lack of original content, he is considered the foremost authority on the language and history of the Elvish people.
To a lesser extent he is considered a musician of some note.
He is also a vinter of good repute and his label Hanvalen, enjoys wide distribution.
