Angels of Aladinus
Aladinus was a famous Colonello in the Provinces before the Taming of the Serpent. He was loyal to Agronar the Conqueror and one of those who would not fight against him during the War of Subjection. Aladinus set sail from the Principalities and landed in Watersedge, where his guild was first headquartered. The current Aladinus is almost certainly not the same one as the Hall is very old, numbering its age in centuries. Either some magic protects Aladinus from aging, or he is a demi-human, or the current Aladinus simply continues to take the name of predecessor.
The Angels are primarily a light infantry company when fighting in formation.
The Angels have a guildhall in Watersedge of Talir, and Wanderhalt of Collonia.
Order of Watchmen and Guards Upon the Marches
The chapel of this peerage is in Wanderhalt of Collonia.
The Guardians have specifically tasked themselves with keeping the Northern Marches from being overrun by Goblinkind. In the absence of a King of Collonia to administer monies collected for that end, the Guardians formed together in order to ride to and fro across the marches, destroying and interdicting bands of marauding Orcs and the like.
Since the throne of Collonia is occupied, the Watchmen continue in their original task but are now funded by the King. Sometimes mistaken for Rangers by their light armor and tendency to remain outdoors, the Guardians are master horsemen, with proficiencies in hunting, tracking, wilderness survival, and weapon smithing. Any Paladin without that skillset need not apply.
Their symbol is a black lance superimposed over a white horse rampant.
A List of the Cities and Provinces of Westrun by Kingdom
There are two basic political subdivisions in Westrun. The first is the Province and the second is the City. Both of them pay tribute to their monarch.
The Provinces vary in size and composition, but all are ruled a lord who is vested in it and responsible for it to the King. The lord may be a minor noble as a baron, a middling noble as a count or a greater noble as a Duke. Sometimes a lord who holds a province on the border of another Realm is considered a Margrave. If the lord of a province is a King in his own right, he is considered a Prince of any other province over which his royal prerogative does not extend. The lord of a province is considered the highest authority there. They have the unlimited chartered power to lay and collect taxes from their residents, to license marriages and other enterprises, as well as to keep the peace on their lands. They also enjoy the right to a trial before their peers and cannot be divested from their land except for cause and then only by trial.
Freeborn men and those who have been liberated from the role of serfs or slaves often find themselves settling around the open-air markets that rise at crossroads and near common river fords. With the permission of a lord they may settle a town on his land which still falls under the jurisdiction of his Reeve and must draw up a contract to pay him taxes and/or rent.
Once a town is in place and has grown to the size of 1000 free men (usually 3-5000 people), they can petition their monarch to fortify the town with a wall. Upon entertaining the petition, the king holds a hearing at which the populace and their lord have the right to be heard. If the hearing finds for the populace, the town contract is replaced by a royal charter. The town then becomes a city, independent of the rule of the lord whose land it was. The city then pays a tribute to the King as any province might. The city also gains the right to enforce its own laws, tax its own citizens, and elect its own mayor. Anyone born in a city is considered a free man, regardless of his parent's social class or condition of servitude. City air makes men free!

Kingdom of Collonia
Name: The Kingdom of Collonia
Ruler: King Aleyn Rigelson, Margrave of the North, Prince of the Free Province of Venotia, Earl of Anscane and Lord of the Greenwood.
Government: A hereditary monarchy -- autocratic rule by a leader with blood ties to the ruling family.
Population:
Description: Collonia is one of the traditional Northern Kingdoms, but it is one with a considerable admixture of Northrun traditions and approaches to the monarchy. It remains a vassal kingdom of the High King, though it has never enjoyed the same level of comity afforded the other vassal realms. Collonia has a system of feudalism, but its nobility exercise much more autonomy than is commonly seen in the other seven kingdoms of man.
The kingdom is served by a very powerful nobility (barons, counts, and dukes) who create wealth and provide tribute to support the crown. Beneath the nobles are free Gentlemen, Ladies and Knights. Beneath them are the freeholders, tradesmen, tenant farmers and artisans who make up the yeomanry. Beneath them are serfs who are tied to the land of a given baron. Slavery has never been practiced in Collonia, but there remains a form of indentured servitude, a vestige of the old Jarls, which is very much in practice.
In addition to the political structures in place, some power in the kingdom is vested in a multitude of organized guilds, the church and the various colleges of mages within its borders.
Collonia sprawls from the Silverlode Mountains West toward the so-called Outlands and North into Northrun. It is considered the Northern Marches and has for many years been protected by the last remnant of the legendary Fraternity, as well as by its crown. The light sandy soil of Collonia is host to great forests of evergreen trees which are prized as sturdy and lightweight building timbers, plus large fields of maize and beets, but also for the high quality blown glass and lead glass (crystal) works.
