Melenne Erebenne

The air of Negwh -- the waiting place of the Besnir after death -- is thick and damp, heavy with the smell of moss and wet earth. No bird sings -- there is only the sigh of the streams and the soft groan of the old wood to mark the passage of the dead. The spirits gather waiting for the Ferryman and to keep them from despair, and Melenne Erebenne dances.

Melenne is one of the Fair Nefilnir, slain in heroic battle but granted eternal life in the world closest as the dead may come to the land of the living. She is a sylph-like being who dances to distract and give dreams to those waiting their passage to other worlds.
