Kataba

Kataba is the patron of scholars and learned men. He does not speak, but inspires mortals to write and to study by giving them an affliction called the Rage.

Those under Kataba’s influence are given bursts of brilliance and tireless productivity, ignoring sleep, hunger, and exhaustion. Entire libraries and epics owe their existence to this divine affliction.

Too much time spent under the influence of the Rage can affect madness in the minds of his victims.

As an act of devotion and acknowledgement, scholars will often affix their written work with the mark of Kataba.
