Djazzar

Djazzar is considered a particularly cruel, bloody and violent culler of life. 

He once prowled Southrun as a violent warlord; but several of his half-siblings conspired to end his reign of terror and Djazzar was murdered at their hands. But when a Death came to conduct him to his place aboard the Shade Raft, Djazzar tricked the scythe away and used it to attack Death itself, striking that avatar dead. Djazzar then swam the River Hyberleth for many centuries before using the scythe to attack a Glowurm and using its carcass to float to shore. 

Djazzar eventually beat the scythe into a broad-bladed knife and returned to Erenes to seek revenge. He now prowls Erenth seeking victims to butcher, and sometimes accompanying the avatars of Death as they claim their appointed victims, though Djazzar has been known to take the killing stroke early, he dares not raise the ire by being indiscriminate about his victims.

Djazzar is the child of Amir and his consort Dinara, a commoner.
