A'lana the Swift

Appearing as a beautiful woman, A’lana has skills even the greatest of thieves cannot rival. She is uncommonly swift. She is also able to blink out of existence and appear at the rear of any opponent.

She wears a pair of winged sandals that allow her to fly, and has a veil of invisibility. She carries a white scroll case, entwined with a golden serpent. It gives her complete control over all non-magical animals.
She is the patron of Diviners and messengers and pages.

Her cult is the only one of the Asharahlafilah which maintains a priesthood separate from the patriach of a house. All of A’lana’s priests must keep physically fit and be able to run long distances, no matter how important their position. They must also carry a white scroll case as a symbol of their devotion.

Priests of A’lana often act as professional arbitrators along with Diviners. Their reputation for fair settlement of disputes keeps them busy in this line of work. A’lanic arbiters who accept bribes or other graft run a terrible risk of attracting the attention of the goddess and suffering her judgment. A'lana's guilty judgment most often comes in the form of being stabbed in the back by one of her invisible serpent daggers -- a wound which mimics a heart attack.
