The Oracle of Djazzar

The Oracle of Djazzar is a child who drinks a potion prepared by the sect of the Djazzari. The potion causes her to fall into a deep sleep which lasts for anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour. After waking, the Oracle will answer any question she is given with a definitive yes or no.

The process to visiting the Oracle is not so straightforward. Supplicants must divest themselves of all clothing except the ceremonial robe, bathe in the Harzahad River and then present themselves so washed and dressed to the oracle. They may have none of their worldly possessions with them or on them, save a single platinum coin which pays for their audience.

The Oracle emerges from her cave and looks around at the hundreds who are gathered, before motioning to those she will see. She will usually choose 8-12 supplicants per day, with those who are not chosen being told to return the next day -- newly washed and bathed, and with another coin. 

Those who are chosen will enter the cave and present their questions to the Oracle. After drinking the potion and waking, she will respond to each question in kind.
